Q: How are the ages of wrestlers determined in the
IKWF? A: The age of all wrestlers in the IKWF are determined by their age on December 31st of the current season. For example: If your son or daughter was born on December 30, 1997 they would be a 10 year old for the entire season (2007-08 only). If your son or daughter was born on January 1, 1998 they would be a 9 year old for the entire season (2007-08 only). Q: My wrestler has purchased a USAW membership card with "Club A" but now wants to compete/practice for "Club B". Can I switch him/her to the new club? A: Yes, but there is a procedure which must be
followed. The procedure is: Q: Can my 15 year old 8th grade wrestler compete in the IKWF? A: Yes, only if the wrestler is born on or after September 1st of current wrestling season. The IKWF by-law clearly states "Any person who is in eighth grade or below and not fifteen prior to September 1st of the current wrestling season." Q: Can High School wrestlers compete in IKWF events? A: For any Folkstyle event
