with the exceptions written in our by-laws. |
| Dates |

| Team Eligibility |
All teams must be chartered with the
IKWF by the postmark deadline of February 1st of each season. A team's

Illinois. |

All wrestler's must be Illinois
residents, a member of an IKWF chartered club, and meet the age
and weight class requirements as defined by the IKWF by-laws (see
Divisions). A wrestler's membership
application and age verification must be submitted to the IKWF office by
the postmark deadline of 21 days prior to the start of regional
competition.
Note: "Unattached" wrestlers are not allowed to compete in the

| Entry Fee |

conclusion of your seeding meeting.
Bracket changes: If a coach moves a wrestler from the
weight class and/or division the wrestler was originally entered to a
new weight class and/or division, there is a $10 fee associated with
this move. This fee will be assessed each time a change is made.
This fee is in addition to the $12 entry fee. Example: Wrestler moved
from Senior 84 to Novice 89. |
| Regional Tournament Locations |
Member teams shall be notified as to
which regional it will be competing in by its Sectional Director (see
Directors). |
Regional Entries
|
A wrestler may enter only one division
and one weight class for regional competition. Each member team may
enter an unlimited number of wrestlers in each weight class. Teams are
limited to two (2) scoring wrestlers at each weight class. If more
than two (2) wrestlers are entered at a given weight class, the scoring
wrestlers must be declared at the seeding meeting. |
| Team Scoring |
Bantam - none
Midget, Novice, and Senior - as defined by the NFHS (see Rule 9 starting on page 44 of your NFHS rule
book).
Note: If the actions of a coach or wrestler were to cause a
deduction of team points in one division, team points will also be
deducted from the other divisions as well. Example: Wrestler in the
senior division is disqualified from a match for flagrant misconduct -
deduct three (3) team points from the team's totals in the senior,
novice, and midget divisions. |
| Seeding Meeting |

above. Example: Senior 74 lbs. wrestler weigh-ins at 73 lbs., he
is eligible for 74 and 79 lbs. only. |
| State Series Participation |
If a wrestler is disqualified from any
regional, sectional, or state tournament competition for flagrant

in any regional, sectional, or state tournament competition their
participation in the IKWF State Series has ended. |

| Weigh-ins |
All contestants, including those in the
275 lbs. weight class, are required to weigh-in wearing a competition
singlet. Each wrestler must make scratch weight. No weight allowance
will be given for the first day of competition. Wrestlers are given two
(2) consecutive attempts to make weight. Upon entry to the weigh-in
area, wrestlers may not leave until their attempt(s) have been made.
Each participant shall be named to their respective weight class at the
time of weigh-ins. |
| Day before weigh-ins |
If all teams are in agreement, a
regional may require weigh-ins the day before the regional tournament.
This will be determined by a vote of all participating teams. The
purpose of this procedure is to eliminate repairing the brackets when
seeding is held before weigh-ins. With the above procedure, the seeding
meeting would be held after the weigh-ins.
Note: Under no circumstances may weigh-ins occur more than one
day prior to the regional tournament. |
