All wrestler's who make it to the second day of competition will be required to weigh-in for the second day of competition, they will receive a one-pound growth allowance for the second day of competition.

All weigh-ins will be at the Rockford MetroCentre.
All wrestlers and coaches must enter the MetroCentre through the main lobby which is located adjacent to the MetroCentre Box Office.

It is the responsibility of the head coach of each club, or their designated representative, to hand out weigh-in cards to their wrestlers before they enter the body check area. All wrestlers are required to have their weigh-in card prior to entering the body check area. Weigh-in cards for the State Tournament are given to the head coach of each team when they pick-up their team packets.
Note: IKWF weigh-in cards are not required.
All state championship competitors are required to pass a body check before they are allowed to weigh-in. If a wrestler fails the body check, he/she will not be allowed to weigh-in and their participation in the IKWF state series has ended. Any skin condition must be reported on an IHSA skin evaluation form.
IHSA SKIN EVALUATION FORM

A dermatologist has been hired to supervise the body check portion of the weigh-in. According to the National Federation rules, he has final authority to override an IHSA skin evaluation form submitted and signed by a physician.

***************State Series weigh-in procedures will be strictly adhered to:***************

All wrestlers are required to weigh-in wearing a competition singlet. No exception will be made.

A check scale, if available, is provided as a courtesy only. If available, it will be placed outside the weigh-in area.

The MetroCentre, Tournament managers, and the IKWF Board maintains no guarantee concerning the weight difference, if any, between the check scale and the weigh-in scales. Checking your weight on the check scale does not constitute an official attempt to weigh-in.
Upon entering the weigh-in area, wrestlers are not allowed to leave until their weigh-in attempt(s) have been made.
The designated weigh-in area begins after the body check area and concludes at the exit of the weigh-in area.
Wrestlers have two (2) consecutive attempts to make weight. If they fail on their first attempt, their second attempt will occur immediately following their first attempt on the challenge scale.
Wrestlers who fail to make weight Thursday night or Friday night do not receive additional attempts Friday morning or Saturday morning respectively.
