Membership: This is a USA Wrestling sanctioned event. Wrestlers must have a current USA Wrestling Competitor Card.
When: January 18th (weigh-ins) and January 19th (wrestling), 2014
Where: Prairie Capital Convention Center, Springfield (Map and Directions)
Entry Fee: Preregistration: $15 - non-refundable. Preregistration ends Friday, January 17th at 6 am.
Onsite: $30 - non-refundable
Weigh-ins: Saturday, January 18th only. 3 to 5 pm. Meeting Room B11-C.
All wrestlers must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet.
All wrestlers must pass hair, fingernail, skin condition checks prior to weigh-in.
All questionable skin conditions must be reported on the IHSA Skin Condition Form and brought to weigh-ins.

Wrestling: Sunday, January 19th only. Wrestling will begin at approximately 9 am.
All wrestlers should be in the arena by 8:30 am.
Coaching: There is no coaching allowed at this event.
Spectator Admission: Adults (14 years old and up): $5, Children (6 to 13 years old); $3, Children under 6 years old are FREE.
Doors to the Prairie Capital Convention Center will open at 8 am.
Officials: All officials are registered with the United States Wrestling Officials Association (USWOA).
Rules: National Federation of State High School rules with IKWF modifications.
Notes: *A wrestler can compete in only ONE division.
*IKWF 10 year olds can wrestle 9 & 10 OR Intermediate Elite OR Novice Elite.
*IKWF 12 year olds can wrestler 11 & 12 OR Novice Elite.
*Elite division wrestlers will declare their weight when they step on the scale to weigh-in for the tournament.
*Mandatory: Returning IKWF Novice and Senior division state qualifiers and placers MUST wrestle in one of the elite divisions.
*No high school wrestlers allowed. This event is for wrestlers 8th grade and lower.
Divisions: The age of every wrestler in the tournament is determined by their age on December 31, 2013.

5 & 6: born 2008 and 2007
7 & 8: born 2006 and 2005
9 & 10: born 2004 and 2003
11 & 12: born 2002 and 2001
13 & 14: born 9/1/1998 through 12/31/2000
Elite Divisions:
Intermediate: born 2005, 2004, 2003
Novice: born 2003, 2002, 2001
Senior: born 9/1/1998 through 2001
Elite Division Weight Classes: Intermediate: 49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 66, 70, 74, 79, 84, 99, 95, 101, 108, 122, 138, 156, 177
Novice: 62, 66, 70, 74, 79, 84, 89, 95, 101, 108, 115, 122, 130, 138, 156, 177, 215
Senior: 74, 79, 84, 89, 95, 101, 108, 115, 122, 130, 138, 147, 156, 166, 177, 189, 215, 275
Bracketing: 5 & 6 and 7 & 8: 4-man blocked weights.
Girls, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14: 8-man blocked weights.
Intermediate, Novice, and Senior Elite: Double elimination bracket with wrestle backs to 3rd place.
*All bracketing dependent on the number of entries.
*If there are not enough entries in the girls division, they have the option to move to any of the other divisions.
*3-man, 4-man, 5-man, and 6-man brackets may be used in place of the brackets types mentioned above.
Bout Time: Girls, Intermediate Elite, and Open Divisions: 1 min., 1 min., 1 min. (no rest between periods).
Novice and Senior Elite: 1.5 min., 1.5 min., 1.5 min. (no rest between periods).
