Head Coach Certification Requirement for the 2007-08
season: |
|
1) |
The head coach of each IKWF club is required to have
either USAW Copper Certification OR ASEP certification to obtain a
coaches card this season.
|
|
2) |
All head coaches must have one of the certifications
listed above. If you are a high school coach but don't have one of
the above certifications, then you must get certified.
|
| 3) |
If you already have a copper, bronze, or silver NCEP
certification card, please mail or fax a copy (both sides) to the
IKWF office.
|
| 4) |
If you are ASEP certified, please mail or fax a copy
of your certification to the IKWF office.
|
| 5) |
Ways to obtain certification for this season:
It is recommended you chose one of the
first two options since proposals are already in the works to
increase certification levels for the 2008-09 season.
1) Attend a NCEP copper or bronze clinic. Clinics are being
scheduled throughout the State (see list below). Clinic fees start
at $30. You must attend the clinic and pass the test to gain copper
or bronze certification.
2) Purchase "COACHING YOUTH WRESTLING ONLINE COURSE - BOOK OR
BOOK/VIDEO ($40) from www.asep.com,
then take the online test. You must pass the test to obtain NCEP
copper certification.
3) Purchase "COACHING YOUTH WRESTLING ONLINE COURSE - PDF ($19.95)
from www.asep.com, then take the
online test. You must pass the test to obtain ASEP certification.
Technically, the above option (#3)
satisfies the new IKWF by-law. However, as stated above, you should
chose option #1 or #2.
